Vine green, vine tip violet
Leaf colour is green
Tuber skin colour is orange and flesh is creamy
Average tuber weight is 185 g
Vitamin-A content is about 1050 IU per 100 g edible portion
Dry matter content is 27%
Yield is 40-45 t/ha
Tolerant to sweet potato weevil
Suitable for drought and salinity conditions
Suitable for the preparations of Jam, Jally, Chips, Sauce, Halua etc.
 
BARI SP-5 (Sweet potato)
A hybrid variety of sweet potato, released in 1994
Vine green, leaf slightly lobed
Tuber skin colour is white and flesh is creamy
Average tuber weight is 190 g
Vitamin-A content is about 1000 IU per 100 g edible portiion
Dry matter content is 31.5%
Yield is 35-40 t/ha
Tolerant to sweet potato weevil
Suitable for drought and salinity conditions
Suitable for the preparations of Jam, Jelly, Sauce, Chips, Halua etc.

A high yielding variety of sweet potato, released in 2004
Vine green, leaf is serrated, 3-lobed
Skin pale red and flesh is creamy
Average tuber weight is 200 g
Vitamin – A content is about 800 IU per 100 g edible portion
Dry matter content is 35%
Yield is 30-50 t/ha
Suitable for the preparations of Jam, Jelly, Chips, Sauce, Halua etc.
 
BARI SP-7 (Sweet potato)
A high yielding variety of sweet potato, released in 2004.
Vine colour violet, leaf green
Skin white and flesh is intermediate cream
Average tuber weight is 200 g
Vitamin – A content is about 700 IU per 100 g edible portion
Dry matter content is 35%
Yield is 30-50 t/ha
Suitable for the preparations of Jam, Jelly, Chips, Sauce, Halua etc.
Tolerant to drought condition
 
Bilashi (Aroids)
A high yielding variety of mukhi kachu, released in 1988
Stem green and erect
Cormels are smooth and oval-shaped
Cormels are boiled equally and free from acridity
Yield is 25-30 t/ha
Rich in vitamin A, C, Iron, Phosphorus and Calcium
Good for halua preparation
Tolerant to leaf blight disease
 
Latiraj (Aroids)
A high yielding variety of panikachu, released in 1988
Stem and leaf green
Stolon flat, green and about 1 m in length
Stolons are boiled equally and free from acridity
Yield of stolon is 25-30 t/ha and rhizome is 18-20 t/ha
Rich in vitamin A, C, Iron, Phosphorus and Calcium
