The scooped area should be smeared with Bordeaux paste. To prepare Bordeaux paste dissolve 100 gm of lime in small amount of water. Similarly, dissolve 100 gm of cupper sulphate in separate continuer with small water. Keep them overnight and then mix them together to make a paste. This paste is to be used to smear the scooped area of the plant. Coaltar may also be used instead of Bordeaux paste to combated gummosis disease of Jackfruit.
